Information for new customers

Welcome to Percheron Publishing. Sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. It may smell a little musty as some of our books are quite old. We currently offer all our books in digital format and some books are available as audiobooks. All our books can be purchased on CD. Or you can wait for new books to appear in hardcover and pay the exhorbitant price tag that goes with it.

What are eBooks?

eBooks are electronic copies of books that can be downloaded and read immediately. There's no waiting for a shipment to arrive and you can start your own library of eBooks on your PC, laptop or handheld device. We currently offer them in .pdf format. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it for free.  Feel free to print it off or transfer it to your handheld device.

Do I need special software or hardware to read eBooks?

Not at all. PDF files are also compatible with most operating systems, including Mac OS and Linux. Even though most computers run on Windows, there are still a lot of people who prefer the alternatives. Since they are in .pdf format they can be read on any computer. You need an Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. This can be downloaded for free.  Thankfully, new computers come already loaded with Adobe Reader. You can import them into the notes part of an iPod or carry them with you in a USB jump drive to be opened on any computer. The file is small enough that you can also email it to anyone.

Can I print and copy my eBooks?

Absolutely.  As a matter of fact we expect this.  After spending a lot of money on a hardcover book most people pass it on to friends and family.  Why should an eBook be any different?

How do I get help if I have a problem?

We're here to help you.  Call us, email us, write us.  A real live person is on the other end of the phone.

What currency are the eBooks prices in?

I'm an Author, how can I make my book available on Percheronpublishing.com?

If you would like to submit a book, send us the first 50 pages via email to submit@percheronpublishing.com. In the subject area type 'book submission'. Then tell us a bit about yourself and what genre you would classify the book. We'll make sure that someone who enjoys that type of genre will read it. We'll contact you with the next step. We are currently accepting fictional works; both adult and youth.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds will be given at the discretion of Management.

I didn't use up all of my gift certificate. What happens to the balance?

If your gift certificate covers the cost of your order, we'll place the balance in your gift certificate account. The next time you place an order via our order form, note that you have a credit in the special instructions portion of the order form. You won't have to re-enter your claim code. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.

How do I purchase an eBook?

We've made it simple and human friendly. Just click on the link at the bottom of each eBook marked 'Purchase' and a window will pop up with an order form. Enter the book numbers you wish to purchase in the drop down windows, the method of payment you prefer, and your contact information.

Once your order has been submitted, you will receive two email messages:

Email #1 - The first email is an auto-reply confirming that your order was submitted. If you do not receive the auto-reply, please email us at order@percheronpublishing.com - it could be that your spam filters have stopped our message to you. 

Email #2 - The second contains your Grand Total, including applicable taxes and shipping & handling if you chose a CD . DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THIS.

You may cancel your order at any point, up until payment is submitted.  After payment has been submitted, the contract to purchase is complete.  Once full payment is received, we will email the electronic file to you or if you chose CD's your order will be shipped within 2 business days!

We accept all major credit cards, cheques and even interac email money transfers.  We can call you for the credit card number or you can call us. No worries about identity theft.  A real live person will be happy to assist you on the phone or by email; the choice is yours.

I did not receive my eBook yet. What do I do?

Please check your email program first to see if your spam filter may have caught it. If it's not there contact us and we will resend it to you. If you chose CD's let us know and we will check the post office tracking system.
